Your home is your sanctuary. It’s where your children play… where your family and friends gather… where you escape after a hard day. Few things affect your home’s beauty and livability as much as windows and doors. They determine how your home lives and breathes, bringing in light and warmth while keeping out rain and winter’s chill. Even in an empty room, windows and doors can define your home’s character and express your sense of style. Classic Sash & Door helps you create a warm and welcoming home, providing creative, practical solutions for your replacement wood window and door challenges.
“We couldn’t believe how much they got done in one day, we didn’t think they would get done in two days but it looks like they will. After they left Dan said ‘There is no one else I would rather have working on our house.’ All ‘the guys’ are a real asset to your business; it must be a fun place to work.” —Barbara
The word “Classic” is defined as “of the highest quality – continuously in fashion – characterized by simplicity, balance and purity of form.” And so it was in 1987 with these ideals in mind that Classic Sash & Door was formed. We’re often asked for clarity on the word Sash: “A fixed or movable framework, as in a window or door, in which panes of glass are set”. You might say the word Sash is a Classic term for window.
As a company our goal is simple: Provide the finest window and door products available that serve the specific and unique needs of our clients and their homes. We call it “Window & Door Solutions.”
Mark Bell started in the window business at a young age, sweeping the warehouse of his father’s family-owned company as a child. Working his way up through the ranks, he built and installed windows as a teen before graduating to running his own projects, with the experience giving him both a strong work ethic and instilling an appreciation in the value of working with the client from inception to installation.
Drawing on the principles he had learned from his father and his own inexhaustible amount of creativity, Mark moved to Portland from Southwest Washington and started Classic Sash & Door Co. in 1987. Knowing that every project is of the upmost importance to the client, he enjoys working with them on ideas, options and, eventually, solutions to their specific needs and desires for windows and doors, confident that each end result will be a lasting thing of beauty.
